This Photojournalism Division Activity is charged with the verification of acceptances received in PSA-recognized International Exhibitions and awards Star Ratings to successful exhibitors. Each Exhibition must be approved by the PJD of PSA in order to have the acceptances count.

Application fees for stars 1-5:  $10 domestic, $12 overseas;  PJ rating:  $15 domestic,
$17 overseas;  Master PJ:  $20 domestic, $22 overseas.

PSA membership is not necessary to enter exhibitions; however, acceptances earned after 1999, must have been earned during membership in PSA. You must be a member of PSA when you apply for a Star Rating.

Basic requirements are;
1 STAR  -  30 acceptances with at least 6 titles.
2 STARS - 60 acceptances with at least 12 titles.
3 STARS - 120 acceptances with at least 24 titles.
4 STARS - 240 acceptances with at least 48 titles.
5 STARS - 480 acceptances with at least 96 titles.

The Photojournalism Division (PJD) has a plaque available for those who earn their fifth Star Rating.  The plaque is six by eight (6 x 8) inch cherry wood with a double solid brass plate on the lower portion for engraving.  This brass plate can be ordered in blue or black.  The upper portion of the plaque contains a Photojournalism Division gold medal.

Plaques are presented at the PSA Annual Conference.  If the recipient is unable to attend, the recipient will be responsible for shipping and handling fees to get a plaque.   Contact the Star Rating Director for details.
