Roadside Produce Stand

IMAGE CAPTION - Roadside Produce Stands are a fact of life here in Georgia. Blue Berries, Apples in North Georgia, Boiled Peanuts in the Fall, Vegetables in Season and Peaches. I captured this image after I asked permission. The vendor stood at his stand ready for a customer.

I think this is an opportunity missed. The salesman is too static - I would want to see more interaction - at least looking up or holding out some fruit. It appears to be somewhat at an angle using rotate on crop I would straighten up the salesman & crop up to the front of the table thus eliminating most of the car & the flag pole. I would darken down the white centre of the fan and using shadow/highlight brighten the man a little. Score 6.

This image has lots of nice color and interesting objects. It needs to have something going on either a customer or the vendor displaying his wares to make into a story. Score 6

I think I love these type produce stands. Your guy gave permission but he could have helped tell the PJ story just by reaching to arrange the produce. Just a little action could improve it. I would have tried to reposition myself with intent to make a better composition. I may have used the flash also in the shade of the tent. Those peaches look really good. I hope you bought some. 6
Alex Lane Very colorful and tells a story but - the inaction of the attendant -even to the point of looking down shows little interest on his part and takes away from the shot. ALEX (9)
Subhash Sapru The image looks static. I would have waited for a customer. Otherwise the colours are very attractive-6

Alan F. E. Thiese - Biography
I was born in February 1940 and enjoyed being the oldest of six children on an 80 acre Iowa Farm until I avoided the Military Draft in 1961 when I joined the U. S. Navy. I served on an Aircraft Carrier, several Shore Duty Stations and two Guided Missile Destroyers as well as one Destroyer. I retired from the U. S. Navy on December 31, 1981 and worked as the office manager at a Nursing Home in Macon, Georgia for about two years. I was then hired to work as a production worker at Brown and Williamson Tobacco Factory. I retired from that opportunity on September 1, 1999. I have enjoyed my retirement ever since. At the time of my retirement I joined the Middle Georgia Camera Club. I enjoy my hobby of Gardening and I also capture flower shots. I started with a Digital Olympus Z-490 Point and Shoot.
