A great action shot well caught, but the background blur is
actually very distracting. I wonder if it would be less distracting if
darker - or if the image was made into monochrome. Score 8. |

A great action shot and the panning allows us to focus on the
action of the "cow" racer. I am not sure why but I agree with Brian that the
background is somewhat distracting. Score 8. |

It certainly does tell a story of speed and motion. Very
good. I can see why you were proud to make it into a print. 9 |

This shows the drama and action very well. Your panning was
right on. The brown bull appears to be out of focus, while the white one is
quite clear. A challenging situation which you handled quite well. Score 8. |

Very interesting image. I have never seen 'cow racing'
before!! The blurred background indicates 'action' and the driver 'leaning'
into the race shows intense action! |

Subhash Sapru
- Biography
I took to photography at an early age with a box
camera, followed by a range finder then upgraded to a SLR conventional film
camera and now using a digital SLR camera. My interest in photography became
a passion only when in 1997 I started entering my images in international
exhibitions and was introduced to IIPC the same year and PSA in 1998. Thanks
to my brother Mr Brij M. Sapru for nursing my interest in photography all
these years. Having done post-graduate diploma in Journalism and starting my
career as a freelancer for some newspapers and magazines before joining the
present organization of Public Relations in India, over the years my
interest has grown in capturing the element of human interest. Photography
is not a part of my profession, I enjoy it as a rewarding hobby. My other
interest is travel and it helps me in pursuing the hobby of photography. I
am a contributor to PSA journal and one of the two IRs of PSA in India. I
have joined the study group to learn more about photojournalism..
